It’s September 15th. I let today get the best of me. One year ago, today, my mom had her first stroke. It was awful. And I relived those feelings...those emotions...the fear all day today. I wasn’t quite sure how not to. I couldn’t ignore it. I couldn’t pretend it didn’t happen. Until a moment ago, I didn’t know how to change how I’m feeling today.
I realized one thing. One thing that I’m sure of. One thing that I always tell other people. We get to decide what kind of day we’re going to have. We have bad days because we react a certain way to things that happen to us and around us. Most of the time, we can’t change what happens. (Unless you have some SUPER manifestation skills! I have yet to conquer that.) But, we can control our reactions. We can choose how to react. We can choose to not let those things have power over us. We can take that power away from them.
So, I hereby decide that I am taking this day back. On this September 15th, I am officially announcing the launch of my coaching business, Life Disturbed. Lovingly named after the blog I had started not long before my mom’s stroke. You see, I’ve been thinking about getting into health and wellness coaching for a long time now. People have told me that I’m an amazing listener. That I’m positive and encouraging. And that they appreciate the knowledge and experience I have to share. A couple months ago, I signed up for an online certification program and will kick off 2019 as a certified health coach.
But I’m not waiting for 2019 to get started. I have so much to share and am beyond excited to have a positive impact on the health and lives of others. This path feels very clear, obvious and right for me. My passion and my goal are two-fold:
I want to help people live healthier lives so they don’t end up with a myriad of lifestyle illnesses like my mom and so many others.
I want to help my fellow sandwich generation cohorts not only manage stress and life, but excel and live their dreams.
I’m currently working on three coaching programs that I’ll be sharing soon and making available to clients. The first will be my “Reset Your Body in 21 Days” program. I’ll be starting a group cleanse program, available to clients, on October 15. It’s the perfect time to reset your bodies before the craziness and stress of the holidays begin. This program is perfect for anyone interested in: improved digestion, having more energy, shedding excess weight, deeper sleep, clearer skin, and more! I’ll share more details soon. In the near future, I’ll be launching a “Reset Your Mind in 14 Days” program as well as a “90 Day Transformation” program. I’m also hoping to offer free guided meditations as well as mindfulness and wellness tips and content via social media and my blog.
